又一本充滿睿智的狗書

  


His lessons weren't so much about giving dogs physical doors to the outside world, although that's important, but about providing ones that open onto the mental and emotional terrain that will develop a dog's potential. His lessons weren't about training, but about partnership. They were never about method; they were about attitude. And at the heart of this attitude is a person's willingness to loosen a dog's leash — in all aspects of its life — and, whenever practical, to take off its leash completely, allowing the dog to learn on its own, following its nose and running free.  


  


豆點,在 Merle's Door Lessons from a Freethinking Dog 這本書的第一頁,已經見到如此睿智的文字。噢,有種他鄉遇故知的感覺哩!


  


這個說法,可能你會暗地裡笑阿娘又往自己的臉上貼金。對,稱讚他,還不是讚賞自己,因為這個也是咱的見解嘛!而且,一直努力履行中!儘管中國人對這種見解大都不以為然,甚至認為這是離經叛道的做法。


你可曾記得?為著讓你有足夠的自由空間,阿娘也不只一次,被認識與不認識的人指指點點。不過,咱不管,阿娘又不是要跟那些人交朋友,理得他們有甚麼看法與批評!


對狗,重要的是態度而不是方法。對人,何嘗不是!就如社工訓練,若只著重工作技巧,而忽略了工作態度,會變成哪門子的社工?
